Benchmark

• IONOS: Good servers, but commitment issues. Unable to commit since a server will be provided by Epitech.

• OVH: Chose a plan in Europe to ensure low latency for most European developers.

• Analyzed requirements for Perforce and selected the appropriate OVH plan.

• Chosen distribution: Ubuntu 22.04, known for its compatibility with Perforce.

Server Setup

• Installed basic features:

  • User management

  • System updates

  • Firewall configuration

  • Shell installation

• Installed Helix Core (Perforce) server.

• Perforce server configuration.

• Initial connection issue + installation errors, required a VPS reset.

• Redump of the VPS.
